13 Feb 2007: GIT 1.5.0 has been released.
This major release includes lots of changes and improvements in such areas like:
- index manipulation;
- repository layout and objects transfer;
- bare repositories handling;
- reflog (history from the view point of the local repository);
- crufts removal;
- detached HEAD;
- packed refs;
- internationalization;
- shallow clones.
